Just about 8 hours to go before NASA’s Perseverance rover attempts the challenging task of landing on Mars. I am getting excited, but also a little bit nervous too. Such a great mission, so much at stake. I will be glued to NASA TV at 7.15 pm (UK time) when the live coverage starts, with touchdown due at about at 8.55 pm (UK time). I know every angle will have been covered, no stone left unturned to make it all work. But still, there’s always a bit of nerves. This is Mars, the red planet, a slightly tricky place to land a spacecraft. It is very, very exciting.
So, are we nearly there yet? Yes, yes we are!
